Installed within the joint cavity, it overlaps the adjoining materials and protects their edges from chipping and mechanical damage.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eInstallation\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKeep the joint width under 1\/2\" (12.5 mm) or 1\" (25 mm) depending on the size, so the lateral crosspiece is properly supported, and make the cavity at least 1\/8\" (3 mm) deep, free of debris and clear of adhesion-inhibiting substances. Fill the joint with an elastomeric sealant — Schluter KERDI-FIX or similar — then insert the vertical leg so the crosspiece rests fully on the covering edges. Remove excess sealant with a suitable cleaner. Screws are not included; #6 \/ M3.5 screws are recommended.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA profile height up to 0.5 mm greater than the covering's thickness is recommended.
