12" x 20" - Schluter KERDI-BOARD-SNLT Prefabricated Shower Niche with LIPROTEC LED Lighting

Schluter-KERDI-BOARD-SNLT is a prefabricated KERDI-BOARD shower niche that incorporates a mounting profile with an LED light strip for diffused illumination. Its pre-installed, watertight junction box ensures a code-compliant electrical connection. The niche can be recessed into KERDI or KERDI-BOARD wall assemblies. It features a 1/2 in (12.5 mm) thick by 2 in (50 mm) wide bonding flange and is designed for vertical installation. Three sizes are available: 12 x 12 in (30 x 30 cm), 12 x 20 in (30 x 51 cm), and 12 x 28 in (30 x 71 cm).

The mounting channel is made of anodized aluminum with a matte finish (AE). It measures 11.8 in (300 mm) long to fit over the top of the niche and has a cutout for cable entry. The LED light strip is encapsulated in a silicone tube that provides evenly diffused light and snaps into the mounting channel. The LED strip emits a warm white 3000K light with a brightness of 118 lumens.

The niche includes a stainless steel junction box and cover that are inserted into the factory-assembled, waterproof plastic junction box for code-compliant LED lighting. A self-adhesive KERDI patch is also included. This is used to ensure proper adhesion of the thin-set mortar and to prevent mortar from penetrating the junction box. Not intended for waterproofing
