You can cover this base with ceramic or stone tile (from 1/4" to 1" thick); this base can also be covered with commercial vinyl flooring. To build a larger shower, use corner extensions or appropriate mortar products, or install more than one TrueDEK shower base side by side. You can install the TrueDEK shower base on any type of floor, on the subfloor, or on concrete. To complete the installation, you will need a waterproofing kit and a ceramic tile drain kit (choose a vinyl drain only if installing vinyl flooring).
