ARDEX A 14 Drainage Mortar (cement-bound) is a high-performance drainage mortar with special additives and hydrophobic agents for use prior to the installation of natural stone, ceramic tile, porcelain tile, concrete stone, and paving stone on exterior patios, decks, pool surrounds, walkways, rooftop decks, and balconies. When used as part of the ARDEX Exterior Tile and Stone Systems, ARDEX A 14 allows water to pass through the mortar matrix to the ARDEX ProDrain Drainage Mat and directs water away from the installation to minimize capillary action, also reducing the possibility of efflorescence, delamination, and cracked stone and tile. ARDEX A 14 will not contribute to efflorescence.
