Crain - Cushion Back Carpet Cutter

This cutter trims the seam edges for better stitching. Precision blade pockets on the left and right sides hold slotted razor blades without screws. The 30° angle of the blade allows you to cleanly cut carpets with fixed cushions. The front guide is beveled to follow the rows of the carpet. Soft-grip handle provides comfort and control. For best results, cut WITH (in the direction of) the sweeping effect of the carpet. Starting at a starting point on the left side of the seam, cut with the left blade down in the direction of the hair sweep. Return to this same starting point on the right side of the carpet and cut with the left blade in the same direction. This procedure simulates the factory row spacing of most carpets. If necessary, to cut both edges as close to the tufts as possible, cut the right side of the seam with the right blade down, then on the left side, retract the right blade and cut with the left blade down.
