Crain - Joint Cutter Plus

This cutter excels on zigzag ("hydra-shift") carpets, including commercial loop pile and Berber! The blade passes directly behind the center row guide. This helps keep the blade clear of offset threads, preventing the threads from being sheared, causing unsightly seams. The wide base keeps the blade perpendicular to the wires, further reducing nap shear. The row guide can be fully retracted into the base for superior cutting. The tool can also be used as a cutter to precisely cut carpet up to the Z-bar or vinyl trim. Blades: Slit razor (Crain #308C) and utility.
