Crain - Punching Blocks - 3" x 11.75" x 0.75"

This 11 3/4" long hitting block is machined from solid 3/4" thick plastic. It is used with a hammer to tap the sides or ends of boards together to eliminate gaps. The bottom edge is clear on one side and one end. The clear bottom edge is placed on the tongue of the hitting board. In this position, the tool body is in direct contact with the outer edge of the board, reducing the risk of damage. The long "U" shaped handle provides greater control over unwanted rotation when the block is hammered toward the end, as is often the case.
