Gundlach - Carpet Edge Sealing Tip

Carpet edge sealer for right-hand use with attached-back carpets. These patented tips allow you to seal carpet edges with any hot melt adhesive compatible with carpet backing. Now you can seal edges more easily and eliminate wasted time waiting for latex glue to dry. The unique design of these tips directs excess glue onto the carpet backing, not into the pile. With a little practice, you will be able to quickly and completely seal carpet edges from a standing position without looking directly at the cut edge. All three tips work in the same way: the plenum area fills with glue under pressure, which is then applied to the edge of the carpet. The clearance area allows excess glue to drain to the carpet backing. This sealing method complies with the Carpet and Rug Institute's CRI 105 - 2002 Standard for Installation of Residential Carpet. All three tips have a 3/8"-16 internal thread and measure 1/2" diameter x 1 1/4" long. The No. 3630 adapter valve with lock nut (or equivalent) is typically required to attach the Series 4 tips to a glue gun. The No. 3630 adapter valve with lock nut is sold separately.
