Gundlach - Right-handed carpet edge sealing bit Series 4

These patented tips allow you to seal carpet edges with any hot melt glue compatible with carpet backings. Now you can seal edges more easily and efficiently, while eliminating wasted time waiting for latex glue to dry. The unique design of these tips ensures that excess glue is directed toward the back of the rug, not into the pile. With a little practice, you will be able to quickly and completely seal the edges of the mat from a standing position without looking directly at the cut edge. All three tips work in the same way: the Plenum area fills with glue under pressure, which is then sprayed under the edge of the carpet. The Relief zone allows excess glue to drain towards the back of the mat. This sealing method complies with the Carpet and Rug Institute's CRI 105 - 2002 Standard for Installation of Residential Carpet. All three tips have a 3/8"-16 internal thread and measure 1/2" diameter x 1-1/4" long. The No. 3630 Adapter Valve with Locknut (or equivalent) is typically required to attach Series 4 tips to a glue gun. The No. 3630 Adapter Valve with Locknut is sold separately.
