Mapeguard Board is a versatile, lightweight, rigid, waterproof, and superior-performance backer board made from a high-density extruded polystyrene core. This backer board features a high-strength waterproof membrane and a double-sided coating to provide water and vapor protection. Mapeguard Board is suitable for use under ceramic tile and stone installations in both residential and commercial applications. The unique multi-layer design is available in thicknesses ranging from 6 mm to 5 cm (1/4" to 2") and is suitable for walls, floors, ceilings, and countertops, as well as for the manufacture of partitions, benches, seating, and furniture, providing a dimensionally stable support.
