MAPEI Reinforcing Fabric is a strong, absorbent, flexible, alkali-resistant polyester reinforcing fabric for optional use with MAPEI Mapelastic AquaDefense when installed under ceramic tile or stone in interior residential and commercial applications. Reinforcing Fabric can also be used as a component in MAPEI ShowerPerfect™ shower installation systems. Reinforcing Fabric is suitable for use on substrate areas such as cracks, baseboards, corners and areas around drains when used with Mapelastic AquaDefense. Reinforcing Fabric provides a secure and durable barrier to water migration into adjacent areas. It can easily be cut to the desired size with a chisel or razor blade knife, and is particularly compatible with all epoxy grouts and mortars, or MAPEI cementitious grouts and thin-set mortars.
