Description

The DRYGRES range of diamond bits is recommended for drilling all types of ceramic tiles, particularly those made of porcelain stoneware, and other covering materials such as marble and granite. In its DRYGRES range of bits, RUBI has used VACUUM BRAZED vacuum welding technology, which increases resistance to temperature and friction, to attach the diamond particles to the cutting area. DRYGRES drill bits, with diameters of 6 to 12 mm, are perfect for installing bathroom accessories or any other type of decorative accessories on ceramic surfaces. The other diameters of the EASYGRES diamond drill bit range, from 20 to 75 mm, have been designed primarily so that the professional ceramic tile installer can obtain the best results when it comes to drilling for water intakes, drains, light points, etc. DRYGRES diamond bits are intended for dry cutting and, thanks to their connection with the M14 screw, can be used directly with a grinder or electric drill without percussion, using the drill adapter (ref. 05976). The average lifespan of DRYGRES bits varies depending on the diameter. For DRYGRES bits with diameters of 6 to 12 mm, the average life is 25 holes, and for those with diameters of 20 to 75 mm, their average life is 60 holes. The average lifespan of drill bits ALWAYS depends on the type of material, its thickness, as well as its correct cooling and use. The drilling depth of DRYGRES bits is 36 mm. For diameters of 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm, DRYGRES bits contain wax inside. This wax melts during use of the bit and facilitates the cooling and evacuation of the remains of the perforation (If the wax ends, the bit can continue to work. Only the total loss of the diamond indicates the end of the life of the bit.). DRYGRES bits (diameters 20 to 75 mm) have a side opening which improves the cooling of the bit and facilitates the elimination of solid residues after each perforation. Before performing a new perforation, we must ensure that the bit is clean and free of any obstructions. The maximum operating speed of DRYGRES diamond bits is 14,000 rpm. To achieve a better finish and longer bit life, it is important to maintain the correct lathe speed and use a slight orbital movement while drilling.
