The waterproof blue core is CFC-free, made from waterproof extruded polystyrene foam, reinforced with fiberglass mesh on both sides, and coated with a synthetic polymer resin mortar that fully incorporates the mesh layer, giving the panel its strength and ability to develop the highest bond strength to virtually any type of mortar. The embedded mesh eliminates the risk of delamination of the installation layers. wedi Building Panels combine the benefits of the latest manufacturing technology and quality materials with the robust, traditional advantages our trades value. The wedi Building Board can be tiled with all types of ceramic, glass, or stone tiles, whether mosaics or large-format tiles.
