This steel depth control guide is used with the No. 985 quarter-moon cutter in a two-step deburring process that removes excess welding rod from the joint area after cooling. First, insert the cutting guide under the cutter and cut away the bulk of the material in a first pass. Then, remove the cutting guide and make a second pass with the cutter only. No cutter is supplied with this guide.
