The No. 499 Fixed Head Carpet Stretcher features a push-button locking handle, an Auto-Lok tube, three extension tube sections, a transfer tube section, a folding tail block, and separate head and tube cases.
The Auto-Lok tube allows for quick length adjustment in flexible increments. The tubes adjust from 37 inches to 23 feet and can be extended with additional extension tubes (No. 502). The folding tail block allows for stretching around walls, corners, or posts. The peg depth adjustment knob on the drive head allows for peg depth adjustment without the need for screws or screwdrivers found on other carpet stretchers.
Model No. 499 comes with separate cases for the head and tube, which distribute the weight and allow for additional components. The head case has built-in casters, and the tube case hooks together for transport. (See No. 498E Empty Tube Case and No. 503 Empty Single Case for case information.)
