Crain - Row separator

This double-ended tool has a pointed end for trimming hairs and a wider tapered surface behind the tip. On high cut hairs, the narrow tip penetrates deep into the row, while the wider tapered surface spreads out the clumps. The opposite end is beveled and rounded to separate loops from loop pile and Berber rugs without snagging. This tool effectively opens and spreads rows to reduce shearing of carpet pile by the seam cutter. Made of solid, nickel-plated steel.
