The uncoupling membrane is waterproof and leak-proof, minimizing differential movement between ceramic tile and subfloor materials. The spaces between the raised areas are designed to allow for the insertion of a heating cable.
The membrane has passed the Robinson C627 qualification test, confirming its suitability for use in residential and commercial heating systems. It also meets the requirements of the anti-fracture standard based on testing by the Ceramic Council of North America (TCNA) (ASTM 118.12).
