Impex Stone - Frankfort - Natural Masonry Stone - Random sizes - Sold by the sq. ft.

Impex Stone Frankfort is a natural masonry stone: individual pre-cut stones bonded one by one, then pointed. It can be installed indoors or outdoors and is sold by the square foot.

• Random heights, lengths and stone count; weighs about 13 lb per sq. ft.
• Indoors, install with LTC white or LTC grey adhesive mortar; outdoors, with Mason Bond 400. Back-butter both wall and stone.
• Type N 1-1-6 mortar for joints up to 3/8 in. (1 cm), applied with a mortar cone; for wider joints, King 1-1-6 VC Series mortar.

Substrate preparation

• Recommended substrate: lightweight concrete board (DuROCK^®, PermaBASE^®).
• Indoors: gypsum board with galvanized lath up to 10 ft high; above that, lightweight concrete is required.
• Outdoors: galvanized lath required, over lightweight concrete or insulated concrete forms (ICF). Install to CSA A371.
• Plywood: asphalt paper then galvanized lath, at any height.
• Filling the lath: allow one extra bag of adhesive mortar per 30 sq. ft.

Quantities

• Adhesive mortar (Mason Bond or LTC): one bag covers about 30 sq. ft.

Warranty

Manufacturer’s 10-year limited warranty from the date of purchase, with proof of purchase, when the product is installed in accordance with the National Building Code and Impex Stone’s installation guide. It covers defective materials only (labour excluded), is limited to the original purchaser and excludes, among others, non-compliant installation, wall movement, contact with chemicals, and discolouration caused by water, pollutants or friction.
