This tool trims excess carpet flush with the wall, leaving just enough to tuck it in between the baseboard and the endless strip. With this edge trimmer, the blades are easily replaced by removing the blade holder. Once the blade holder is removed, the blades are accessible from the top of the holder. To reinsert the blade holder, insert one of the pointed edges into a raised section of a shim and lift the blade holder to separate the shims. To adjust the throat depth, when the blade holder is reinserted, place the bosses of the blade holder into one of the four slots formed on each shim.
