Product Information

King 1-1-6 Type N masonry mortar, made of Type S hydrated lime, white Portland cement and masonry sand. Impex Stone recommends it for pointing brick veneer and natural stone.

  • Apply with a mortar cone the day after installation, then tool the joints 20 to 40 minutes later — do not wait until the next day.
  • For joints wider than 3/8 in. (1 cm), Impex Stone recommends King 1-1-6 VC Series.
  • The final colour depends on moisture at tooling time: tool after the same drying time throughout.
  • Tip: a thin stream of clear liquid hand soap helps the mortar flow.

Coverage

  • 1/4 to 3/8 in. joints: about 40 to 50 sq. ft. per bag indoors, 30 sq. ft. for exterior masonry.
