Description

Access Tile is the global specialist in ADA-compliant detectable truncated dome tiles and wayfinding tiles. This success is the result of progressive product development based on significant feedback from accessibility professionals, specifiers, installers, and end users over the past 30 years. Our unparalleled industry experience allows us to incorporate the latest materials and manufacturing technologies to develop cost-effective, durable detectable warning tiles that install easily. We offer several detectable product configurations to ensure every installation complies with federal and local Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. Our detectable warning systems integrate easily into any area requiring truncated dome installations. Detectable warning signs serve as a distinctive warning for the visually impaired. The carefully placed truncated dome pattern on our tactile warning signs alerts people to potential hazards, such as railroad crossings and sidewalks. Every tactile tile we produce meets ISO9000 manufacturing standards and our commitment to quality. Access Tile's directional guidance tiles (directional bar tiles) are specially designed to work in tandem with truncated dome tiles. These tactile walking surface indicators (TWSIs) use a series of bar-shaped tactile surfaces to create a detectable path. A tactile pathway provides access for all people between two spaces or locations. These paths are typically designed with truncated dome tiles to indicate areas where the path begins, ends, or divides, so visually impaired users can orient themselves to ensure they are following the intended route. These detectable warning tiles are extremely useful in helping visually impaired people navigate any space safely. They are available as surface-applied tiles and replaceable cast-in-place tiles and can be used in place of ADA pavers. We designed each directional guidance tile to maximize functionality for cane users. Our unique "sound on cane" feature, which uses sound reflection technology, creates audible feedback whenever the tile is tapped or swiped with a plastic-tipped cane. Common uses for our directional guidance tiles include pathways to transit stops, between buildings, to elevator call buttons, and much more. It's the power of intelligent design and precision engineering.
