Product Information

HYDRO BAN is a thin load-bearing waterproofing/crack isolation membrane that does NOT require the use of fabric on the surface, in grooves and in corners. HYDRO BAN is a single-component, self-vulcanizing liquid polymer rubber that forms a flexible, continuous waterproofing membrane. HYDRO BAN adheres directly to a wide variety of substrates.

  • Curing temperature range ≥35°F or higher allows it to cure in a variety of different environmental conditions and substrate temperatures
  • Classified ASTM E96 for showers and steam rooms
  • Exceeds ANSI A118.10 and A118.12 Anti-fracture protection up to 3 mm (1/8 in) on shrinkage and other non-structural cracks
  • Allows 2-hour flood test at 70°F (21°C) or higher HYDRO BAN XP can be flood tested in 2 hours when the waterproofing membrane is cured and the substrate is at 21°C (70°F) and 50% relative humidity or greater for 2 hours. The 2 hour period begins when the color of the HYDRO BAN XP changes from sage green to dark olive green, indicating a cured liquid waterproofing membrane. If the substrate and air temperature are below 70°F (21°C) and 50% relative humidity, the flood test cannot be performed until the color of HYDRO BAN XP changes from sage green to dark olive green and 24 hours have elapsed
