The motor chamber is constructed with quality sound-absorbing materials, delivering an operating noise level of only 60 dB(A). Additionally, lightweight, precision-engineered motor components and a more efficient air path allowed Makita engineers to reduce the unit's weight to just 35 pounds. For increased stability and easier maneuverability, the VC4210L features wide-gauge rear wheels and enlarged steel front caster wheels, creating a lower center of gravity. The VC4210L features a Innovative automatic filter cleaning system and an efficient two-stage filtration system with Nano main filters designed to maximize container volume and improve efficiency, while capturing 99.95% of particles 2 microns and larger. The HEPA-certified main filter captures 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns and larger, meeting or exceeding the Department of Energy standard for HEPA filters. A built-in tool-activated outlet allows the vacuum/extractor to be started and stopped when using a power tool.
