Product Information

Mapelastic 315 is a flexible, trowelable, fiberglass-reinforced waterproofing and crack-isolation membrane for installation under ceramic tile or stone in interior/exterior water-immersed or intermittently wet residential, commercial, and industrial applications. Mapelastic 315 provides an excellent barrier to prevent water from migrating into other areas. Mapelastic 315 is compatible with all epoxy mortars (ANSI A118.3) and polymer-modified thin-set mortars (ANSI A118.4 or higher). Mapelastic 315 exceeds the waterproofing requirements of ANSI A118.10 and is listed by IAPMO as a shower pan waterproofing membrane. Includes only the latex portion of the mix.

  • Prevents cracks up to 1.5 mm (1/16") wide in the plane of the floor from extending into tile or stone
