Novoplan® 2 Plus is a high-strength, fast-drying, cement-based self-leveling underlayment for interior concrete floors and engineer-approved substrates.
What sets it apart from an ordinary underlayment is its single-lift range: 1/8" to 2". A badly out-of-plane floor is corrected in one operation, with no successive lifts and no waiting between them.
Tile can go down after 24 hours, and light foot traffic is allowed after 2 to 3 hours. Compressive strength above 4,200 psi at 28 days, and zero VOC.

Novoplan 2 Plus never goes over an unprimed surface. Mapei Primer T is the all-purpose primer for self-leveling underlayments; over a non-porous or difficult substrate, ECO Prim Grip promotes adhesion. See the full range of primers.
Only Mapeheat and Mapeguard UM uncoupling membranes require no primer.
⚠️ What the product does not do
- It is not a moisture barrier. A cement-based underlayment does not reduce vapour transmission from a damp slab. Moisture mitigation must be done first.
- It is not a wear surface. Cured material must be covered with a finished floor system.
- Interior only. No exterior applications.
- Do not install over asbestos, adhesive residue, standing water, or dimensionally unstable substrates.

Concrete meeting ASTM F710 and at least 28 days old · well-bonded ceramic, porcelain or quarry tile · natural stone · vinyl composition tile · cement backer units · fully cured cement-based mortar beds · engineer-approved plywood or OSB with joists at 19.2" on centre maximum and deflection within L/360 · nailed-down wood flooring covered with at least one layer of 5/8" plywood, glued and screwed · gypsum-based underlayments.

Mixing
4.73 to 5.0 L of clean water per 22.7 kg bag. Pour the powder into the pre-measured water and mix 2 to 3 minutes with a high-speed drill and oval paddle. Do not overmix: trapped air causes pinholing at the surface.
