These diamond hole saws can be used dry or wet for increased speed and longer life. Using a 5/8-11 angle grinder with a minimum of 11,000 RPM, holes from 3/4" to 2-3/4" (up to 2" deep) in diameter can be made in porcelain, ceramic, and granite. The FT-S Long Life Series has a 3/4" high sector-type diamond matrix for improved cooling and can be dressed for extended life. Features two through slots (straight for 3/4" diameter and V-shaped above 3/4") for plug removal, as well as flats on the hub. The FT-S Long Life series offers approximately 50% longer life compared to the FS Standard series. Best results are achieved by starting with a circular motion at a 45° angle to the tile and then continuing the circular motion at a reduced angle. Drilling time and saw life depend on proper operator use, tile material and thickness, and saw cooling. With adapter no. ADPTR-AUFSIN, these hole saws can be used with a 3/8" drill (rotary only, no hammer action).
