Product Information

ROBERTS 2038 adhesive is a solvent-free, latex-based asphalt emulsion adhesive developed for installing vinyl composition tile (VCT). It provides a thin, black application with superior holding power that resists tile movement. It can be used over existing blackened adhesive residue. This product contains Microban, an antimicrobial protectant that helps control the growth of stain- and odor-causing bacteria that can lead to product degradation. Made in Canada, it offers a shelf life of 2 years from the date of production when stored in its original unopened packaging and a lifetime warranty for installations performed by a professional certified by a flooring industry association. Environmentally friendly formula and LEED compliant; VOC: < 2 g/L.

  • Solvent-free latex-based asphalt emulsion/SBR formula for superior holding power
  • For installing vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring
  • Concrete, CANPLY/APA side-faced plywood, oriented strand board (lightly sanded) side-faced as underlayment, one layer of existing, well-adhered vinyl composition tile (VCT) (unwaxed or unfinished), terrazzo, and properly prepared and pre-treated gypsum subfloors (ASTM F2419).
  • For use in the interior only
