Not all ceramic materials are the same. For this reason, RUBI offers different ranges of scoring wheels that adapt to each type of material. RUBI manufactures these scoring wheels and rollers from tungsten carbide, whose main characteristic is its high resistance to wear and friction. Most of the ceramic materials used are often glazed stoneware with smooth finishes and minimal roughness. With the advent of non-slip materials or stoneware (particularly suitable for outdoor use), the roughness of ceramic has increased. To meet this need, RUBI has designed the GOLD scoring wheel range. GOLD scoring wheels are available in several diameters. They offer different results and performance depending on the type of material on which they are used. The GOLD range is recommended for scoring stoneware (BIIa/BIb), porcelain stoneware (AIIa/AIb), ​​and glazed stoneware (BIa) with smooth and/or slightly rough finishes. GOLD scoring wheels are made of high-quality tungsten carbide and feature a titanium coating. Thanks to this treatment, GOLD scoring wheels offer a longer service life than the SILVER range. Under the same operating conditions, the GOLD scoring wheels last up to twice as long as the SILVER scoring wheels. The GOLD scoring wheel shanks, with their triple grooves (designed and patented by RUBI), guarantee quick and easy installation when cutting tiles. In addition, this geometry, exclusive to RUBI, ensures a firm grip on the scoring wheel and a uniform, vibration-free scoring, creating the best possible combination for always achieving the best results.
