The DRYGRES range of diamond drill bits is recommended for drilling all types of ceramic tiles, especially porcelain stoneware, and other wall materials such as marble and granite. In the DRYGRES range of drill bits, RUBI has used VACUUM BRAZED technology, which increases resistance to temperature and friction, to fix the diamond particles to the cutting area. The DRYGRES drill bits, with diameters ranging from 6 to 12 mm, are ideal for installing bathroom fixtures or any type of decorative accessory on ceramic surfaces. The other diameters in the DRYGRES range of diamond drill bits, from Ø 20 to 75 mm, have been designed primarily to enable tilers to achieve the best results when drilling holes for water jets, drains, light points, etc. DRYGRES diamond drill bits are dry-cutting and, thanks to their M14 thread connection, can be used directly with a grinder or hammerless electric drill using the drill adapter (ref. 05976). The average life of DRYGRES drill bits varies depending on the diameter. For diameters 6 to 12 mm, the average life is 25 holes, and for diameters 20 to 75 mm, the average life is 60 holes. The average life of drill bits ALWAYS depends on the type of material, its thickness, and proper cooling and use. The drilling depth of DRYGRES drill bits is 36 mm. In diameters 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm, DRYGRES drill bits contain wax. This wax melts during use and facilitates cooling and the removal of drilling debris. (If the wax runs out, the drill can continue to operate.) Only the complete loss of the diamond indicates the end of the drill's life. DRYGRES drill bits (diameters Ø 20 to 75 mm) have a side opening that improves bit cooling and facilitates the removal of solid waste after each drilling. Before drilling again, ensure that the drill bit is clean and free of any obstructions. The maximum operating speed for DRYGRES diamond drill bits is between 14,000 rpm. For a better finish and longer drill bit life, it is important to maintain the correct rotation speed and use a slight orbital motion while drilling.
