Rubi - CYCLONE LS - Flat base strip 1/16" (1.5 mm) - Pack of 100

Lower half of Rubi's CYCLONE levelling system — the threaded strip you slide under two adjacent tiles to eliminate lippage, on floors and on walls.

The principle is simple: the strip goes under the tiles, the reusable cap screws down onto it by hand until both tiles sit flush, and once the adhesive has cured you knock the strip off with a kick or a mallet, always in the direction of the board. No tool is needed, either to tighten or to break it.

This flat base version carries no cross or T: it levels without acting as a spacer. Side grooves at the base of the flange help the adhesive wet the back of the tile.

The strip on its own levels nothing: you need the reusable CYCLONE cap to clamp the tiles. It comes singly (ref. 35949) or in a pack of 300 (ref. 35950).

What Rubi requires before you set

• The substrate must be regularised and in perfect flatness condition — the system corrects lippage between tiles, not a hollow floor
• Back-buttering is mandatory
• The strips are not reusable
• Only the cross-base and T-base models replace tile spacers; this one does not

Can be used for

• Large-format floor tile and slabs
• Large-format wall cladding
• Rectified porcelain where the slightest lippage shows
