The profile is available in anodized aluminum, colored aluminum, and brushed stainless steel. Maintenance: The DESIGNBASE-SL profile requires no special care or maintenance and is resistant to mold and mildew. Clean the profile periodically with a neutral cleaning agent. DESIGNBASE-SL is adhered to walls using KERDI-FIX adhesive or another suitable adhesive. Before applying the adhesive, ensure the surfaces are free of substances that impair bonding, such as oil or grease. 2. Apply beads of adhesive to the back of the profile, then install it on the wall, ensuring it is firmly pressed over its entire surface. For the stainless steel version of the profile, the adhesive must be spread above and below the foam spacer. 3. The aluminum accessories must be slid into the profiles during installation. Stainless steel accessories must be added after the profile has been installed. Install the corners, connectors, and end caps using an elastic, waterproofing adhesive (e.g., KERDI-FIX or silicone). Before installation, remove any substances that may interfere with the bond (e.g., grease). 4. Use a suitable cleaning agent to remove any excess adhesive from around the profile. Remove the protective film. Note: The optional sealing lip is inserted into the profile before installation. It is firmly pressed into the profile (from the front for the aluminum version and from the back for the stainless steel version), so that it is flush with the front of the profile.
