Description

Schluter-KERDI-LINE is a recessed linear drain designed for integration into bonded waterproof assemblies. It can be installed along a wall or centered. The floor can have a unique slope converging toward KERDI-LINE, allowing for the use of large tiles and the creation of interesting layouts. KERDI-LINE consists of a stainless steel channel body, a frame, and a grate or tileable plate. The channel body includes a standard 2" (50 mm) outlet that is attached directly to the pipe using the appropriate mechanical coupling. KERDI-LINE products are suitable for both new construction and renovation projects because they easily connect to a standard water outlet. KERDI-LINE is available with a centered or offset water outlet. The offset outlet is located 8" (20.3 cm) from the edge of the channel body and provides flexibility when obstacles (e.g., floor joists) are encountered during installation. KERDI-LINE is equipped with a matching polystyrene channel support to accommodate the height of the KERDI-SHOWER-LT/-LTS shower trays. The edge of the channel is equipped with a KERDI bonding flange. This system ensures a simple and efficient connection of the channel to the bonded assembly, both at the floor and to the adjacent walls. KERDI-LINE channel lengths are available from 20" to 72" (50 to 180 cm) – and are established in 4" (10 cm) increments. The bonding flange extends approximately 1" (2.5 cm) on each side of the channel. The KERDI-LINE grate assembly consists of a stainless steel frame, which will adjust to the thickness and arrangement of ceramic or natural stone tiles – from 1/8" to 1" (3 mm to 25 mm) for standard grate assemblies, from 1/4" to 23/32" (6 mm to 18 mm) for "style" grate assemblies – and stainless steel grates that fit into the frame. The standard grille assembly has a visible surface of approximately 3/8" (10 mm) once installed and can be combined with one of two grille versions: SOLID (A) or SQUARE (B). Each standard assembly is available in a brushed or chrome finish. Option B is also available with a locking mechanism (stainless steel, 3/4" – 19 mm frame only) for applications where the grille must be locked (e.g., healthcare and educational facilities, etc.). The frame of the "style" grille assembly has a minimal visible surface after installation, and can be combined with three grille options: FLORAL (E), CURVE (F), or PURE (G). Each "style" assembly is available in a brushed finish. Since the tile plate fits flush with the channel body, it can accommodate tiles of any thickness.
