Schluter-RONDEC is a finishing and protection profile for the outside corners of tiled surfaces. It consists of a trapezoidal perforated anchoring leg that is fixed in the mortar layer beneath the tile, and a profile that forms a symmetrically rounded outside corner with a 1/4" (6 mm) radius along the edge of the surface. The profile is available in stainless steel, solid brass, chrome-plated solid brass, anodized aluminum, colored aluminum, textured colored aluminum, and PVC. RONDEC's wide range of materials, colors, and surface finishes allows for color coordination with tiles and grouts, creating interesting accents in decorative designs. In addition to its decorative effect, the profile protects tile edges from damage caused by mechanical stress. RONDEC, made of stainless steel, is particularly wear-resistant when used as edge protection. It can also be used as a stair nosing or transition profile. In addition, RONDEC is suitable for transitions, corners, or other coverings with other covering materials, e.g. carpet, parquet, natural stone tiles, or cold-cured resin coverings. The integrated joint spacer forms a defined joint cavity with the tile. Note: Stainless steel and solid brass RONDECs do not have the integrated joint spacer. Matching inside and outside corners, including sink corners, and connectors are available. Matching end caps are available for stainless steel RONDECs.
