Preformed outside corner 90° for the Schluter RONDEC profile, in brushed nickel anodized aluminum, for 3/8" (10 mm) tile.
RONDEC is a finishing and edge-protection profile for tiled edges and outside corners. Its reveal forms a symmetrically rounded corner with a 1/4" (6 mm) radius. It protects tile edges from chipping and mechanical damage and allows colour coordination with tile and grout. It also serves as a stair nosing or transition profile, and suits transitions with carpet, parquet, natural stone or cold-cured resin coatings.
Installation
Apply thin-set with a notched trowel — for an outside wall corner, finish one wall first, then trowel mortar over the corner area of the second. Press the perforated anchoring leg into the mortar, align it, then trowel more thin-set over it for full coverage. Set the tiles flush with the top of the profile, which may sit up to 1/32" (1 mm) lower, and butt the tile against the integrated joint spacer. Fill the joint completely with grout. Corner pieces are held in place with thin-set: fill the profile end with thin-set before inserting the accessory. Connectors are held by friction fit — insert about half the connector's length into one profile, then connect the adjacent one.
The integrated joint spacer forms a defined joint cavity between tile and profile, for a uniform joint of 1/16" to 1/8" (1.5 to 3 mm). Stainless steel and solid brass versions have no integrated spacer — leave a space of about 1/16" to 1/8" (1.5 to 3 mm) instead.
