90° square outside corner for the Schluter DILEX-AHK cove-shaped profile, in satin nickel anodized aluminum, 3/8" (10 mm) cove radius. This square outside corner is for use with the Schluter QUADEC profile; it is offered for DILEX-AHK only.
DILEX-AHK is a cove-shaped profile in anodized aluminum or textured color-coated aluminum, with a trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg secured in the mortar bond coat and a cove section that forms the visible surface. It is used at inside wall corners, countertop/backsplash transitions and floor/wall transitions where limited movement is expected, and it prevents surface water from penetrating. Its 3/8" (10 mm) radius prevents the accumulation of dirt and eases cleaning, which meets the hygienic requirements of commercial kitchens, bathrooms and food-processing plants, or anywhere a rounded sanitary base is preferable.
Installation
Apply thin-set mortar with a notched trowel over the area where the anchoring leg is to be placed, then press the perforated leg into the mortar and align it. Corners, connectors and end caps are installed before the tile; thin-set may be required to achieve a proper fit, and connectors should overlap the profiles by at least 3/8" (10 mm). Trowel additional mortar where the tiles are to be installed, solidly embed the tiles ensuring full support of the tile edges, align them flush with the top of the profile, then fill the joints completely.
Set the tile to the integrated joint spacer, which ensures a uniform joint of 1/16" to 1/8" (1.5 to 3 mm) between the tile and the profile.
The profile requires no special care or maintenance and is resistant to mould and fungus: a common household cleaner is enough. Never use abrasive cleaners on anodized or textured color-coated aluminum.
