Schluter DILEX-EHK cove-shaped profile, in 316L stainless steel, 23/32" (18.5 mm) radius, 5/8" (16 mm) x 5/8" (16 mm), 8' 2-1/2" (2.5 m) long.
DILEX-EHK is a stainless steel cove-shaped profile with trapezoid-perforated anchoring legs, secured in the mortar bond coat, and a cove section that forms the visible surface. It is used at inside wall corners, countertop/backsplash transitions and floor/wall transitions where limited movement is expected. Its 23/32" (18.5 mm) radius prevents the accumulation of dirt and meets the hygienic requirements of commercial kitchens, bathrooms, food-processing plants and hospitals.
Installation
Apply thin-set mortar with a notched trowel over the area where the anchoring legs are to be placed, then press the perforated legs into the mortar and align them. DILEX-EHK corners, connectors and end caps are installed before the tile using a permanently elastic, waterproof adhesive such as KERDI-FIX or silicone; any contact-inhibiting substances must be removed first, and connectors should overlap the profiles by at least 3/8" (10 mm). Solidly embed the tiles flush with the top of the profile, leaving a joint of approximately 1/16" to 1/8" (1.5 to 3 mm), then fill the joints completely.
Three-way inside corners are to be used with DILEX-EHK on the vertical.
