Description

Schluter-TROBA-PLUS is a safe and long-lasting surface drainage solution intended to be installed over a sloped bed (waterproofing, slab on grade, etc.). This drainage consists of a polyethylene matting fitted with studs covered by a permeable nonwoven. For TROBA PLUS 8G, the nonwoven has a mesh of approximately 2 x 2 mm. The space between the nonwoven-covered studs, on which the covering rests, provides drainage with a very high water discharge capacity. When installed over a waterproofing membrane, Schluter-TROBA-PLUS protects it. The studs, arranged in a dense network, have the shape of truncated cones and withstand heavy pressure loads, ranging from 300 kN/m² (30 t/m²) to 390 kN/m² (39 t/m²). The air gap created between the studded matting and the nonwoven provides thermal and acoustic insulation, which protects the substrate against the harmful effects of thermal stress. This results in a balanced load distribution across the entire surface of the substrate. Schluter-TROBA-PLUS 8 and 8G raise the covering by 8 mm across its entire surface, while Schluter-TROBA-PLUS 12 raises it by 12 mm. Minor differences in level, such as irregularities (or bumps appearing in the overlap area of the waterproofing) that can cause water retention, are effectively covered by TROBA-PLUS. Notable defects must, however, be eliminated before installing Schluter-TROBA-PLUS, using leveling mortar.
