Description

Schluter-TROBA-PLUS is a safe and durable surface drainage system designed for installation on sloped surfaces (waterproofing, slabs on solid ground, etc.). This drainage system consists of a polyethylene mat with raised areas covered with a permeable nonwoven fabric. For TROBA PLUS 8G, the nonwoven fabric has a mesh size of approximately 2 x 2 mm. The space between the nonwoven-covered areas, on which the covering rests, provides drainage with a very high water evacuation capacity. When installed over waterproofing, Schluter-TROBA-PLUS protects the waterproofing system. The densely arranged bosses are shaped like truncated cones and can withstand high pressure loads of 300 kN/m² (30 t/m²) to 390 kN/m² (39 t/m²). The air gap created between the bossed mat and the nonwoven fabric provides thermal and acoustic insulation, protecting the substrate from the effects of thermal stress. This results in an even distribution of the load over the entire surface of the substrate. Schluter-TROBA-PLUS 8 and 8G raise the covering by 8 mm over its entire surface, while Schluter-TROBA-PLUS 12 raises it by 12 mm. Small differences in level, such as unevenness (or bumps in the area where the waterproofing overlaps) that can lead to water retention, are effectively covered by TROBA-PLUS. However, any obvious defects must be repaired before installing Schluter-TROBA-PLUS, using leveling mortar.
