The wedi® Fastening Kit brings together the screws and washers designed for installing wedi® Building Panels on walls and floors. The wide washer spreads pressure across the panel surface instead of concentrating it under the screw head — which is what stops the cement-resin coating from being crushed and the seal at the fastener point from being compromised.
Every fastener point must then be covered with wedi® Joint Sealant. It is that combination of screw, washer and sealant that makes the assembly watertight: a screw set without a washer, or left unsealed, creates a penetration through the membrane.

INSTALLATION
Drive the screw through the washer until it sits flush with the panel surface, without dishing it. Then cover each washer with wedi® Joint Sealant. Tiling can begin as soon as the sealant is dry to the touch.
