The wedi Fundo Primo shower system, like all wedi shower systems, offers comprehensive warranty coverage thanks to its complete, natural waterproof core and range of specially designed components. The Fundo Primo is waterproof on the inside thanks to the closed cell structure of its wedi XPS foam, and naturally protects against mold like all wedi XPS foam products. It is quick and clean to cut to fit custom designs while prefabrication significantly reduces installation time. The base features a solid, pre-bent surface, allowing for immediate tiling, whether you choose mosaics or large format tiles. The wedi Fundo Primo is primarily designed to fit shower designs that include a wedi surround. Pre-bent extension panels are available so there are no limits to creating any size or shape for custom shower designs. Fundo Primo is insulating, creating a thermal barrier which can prevent the transfer of cold across the tile surface, and makes underfloor heating systems more efficient. It also provides exceptional control of moisture and water exposure compared to traditional mortar bed installations or other currently known methods for shower construction, including the use of sheet or liquid waterproofing membranes which may be very thin and vulnerable or which may offer water absorption in thin-set bonded joint areas.
