The wedi® Shower Niche is a prefabricated box built from 1/2 in. wedi® Building Panels. It is waterproof throughout thanks to its closed-cell extruded polystyrene core — no additional waterproofing is required, and tiling can begin as soon as installation is complete.
It integrates flush into the wall panel assembly and fastens with wedi® screws, washers and sealant. That is what separates it from a site-built niche: no cutting, no reworking the waterproofing in the corners, and a repeatable result.

INSTALLATION
Set the niche into the framing between studs, fasten with wedi® screws and washers, then seal the perimeter and fastener points with wedi® Joint Sealant. Tiling can begin as soon as the sealant is dry to the touch.
