The wedi® Shower Curb is a prefabricated extruded polystyrene foam profile, coated on every face with wedi® cement-resin and reinforcing mesh. It forms the shower entry where a firm, solid transition between the shower and the rest of the bathroom is needed.
It weighs only 3 kg, which makes it a one-person lift, yet once bonded and tiled it supports up to 280 lb per linear foot. That is the useful paradox of structural foam: light to install, load-bearing in service.
Like every wedi® component it is waterproof throughout: the curb cannot absorb water or pass it to the adjacent floor, unlike a site-built curb. It cuts to length and bonds directly to the slab.
This narrow model suits standard shower entries. For a wheelchair-accessible or ADA-compliant entry, use the wedi® ramp instead.

INSTALLATION
Cut the curb to the width of the opening, bond it to the substrate with thin-set mortar, then seal the junctions with the shower base and walls using wedi® Joint Sealant. Tiling can begin as soon as the sealant is dry to the touch.
