Description

The DRYGRES range of diamond core bits is recommended for drilling all types of ceramic tiles, especially porcelain stoneware, and other wall materials such as marble and granite. In its DRYGRES range of core bits, RUBI has used VACUUM BRAZED technology, which increases resistance to temperature and friction, to attach the diamond particles to the cutting area. DRYGRES core bits, with diameters ranging from 6 to 12 mm, are ideal for installing bathroom fixtures or any other type of decorative accessories on ceramic surfaces. The other diameters in the EASYGRES diamond core bit range, from 20 to 75 mm, were designed primarily to provide professional ceramic tile installers with the best results when drilling holes for water inlets, drains, light points, etc. DRYGRES diamond core bits are designed for dry cutting and, thanks to their M14 screw connection, can be used directly with a grinder or a non-percussion electric drill, using the drill adapter (ref. 05976). The average lifespan of DRYGRES core bits varies depending on the diameter. For DRYGRES core bits with diameters of 6 to 12 mm, the average lifespan is 25 holes, and for those with diameters of 20 to 75 mm, the average lifespan is 60 holes. The average life of drill bits ALWAYS depends on the type of material, its thickness, as well as its proper cooling and use. The drilling depth of DRYGRES drill bits is 36 mm. For diameters of 6, 8, 10, and 12 mm, DRYGRES drill bits contain wax inside. This wax melts during use and facilitates cooling and the removal of drilling residue (if the wax runs out, the drill bit can continue working. Only the complete loss of diamond indicates the end of the drill bit's life.). DRYGRES drill bits (diameters 20 to 75 mm) have a side opening that improves bit cooling and facilitates the removal of solid residue after each drilling. Before drilling again, ensure that the drill bit is clean and free of any obstructions. The maximum operating speed for DRYGRES diamond drill bits is 14,000 rpm. To achieve a better finish and longer drill bit life, it is important to maintain the correct rpm and use a slight orbital motion while drilling.
