The constant evolution of ceramic materials poses a challenge for ceramic tile setters. With the arrival of porcelain stoneware, the hardness of the materials became the main concern for professionals. Today, with new production processes, the consolidation of porcelain stoneware as the most widely used material, as well as the growing presence of large formats or ceramic slabs, the main obstacle is the difficulty of cutting ceramic tiles. This difficulty is the result of a combination of hardness, thickness, surface finish, and possible internal stresses in the material itself. For the most difficult ceramic materials, RUBI offers the EXTREME range of scoring wheels and rollers. EXTREME scoring wheels and rollers are made of high-quality tungsten carbide with a special titanium carbide coating. Thanks to this coating, RUBI EXTREME scoring wheels and rollers suffer less wear during use. Additionally, when mounted on a bearing, EXTREME scoring wheels and rollers completely eliminate friction between the wheel and the wheel shaft. This combination allows the EXTREME scoring wheel to perform far superior to other scoring wheels, providing smooth scoring and a 300% longer service life than SILVER scoring wheels and rollers under the same operating conditions. The EXTREME range of rollers are specially designed and recommended for scraping ceramic materials with rough and/or structured finishes (textures or reliefs). EXTREME rotors are compatible with the RUBI range of cutters: TS-MAX, TR-MAGNET, and SPEED-MAGNET in the 10 mm caliber version, and with the TZ and TX-MAX ranges in the 12 mm caliber version. In addition, the RUBI EXTREME roller is compatible with the TQ, TP-T and TP-S manual cutters, as well as with the manual SLIM CUTTER for the SLAB SYSTEM range of ceramic sheet cutting systems.
