The first is the traditional RUBI grout scraper, featuring an ergonomic handle and two highly abrasion-resistant, electroplated tungsten carbide blades. These blades can be combined with 1, 2, or 3 blades depending on the width of the tile joint to be cleared.
Each electroplated tungsten carbide blade is 2 mm thick. Therefore, the minimum joint width to be treated with this scraper is 2 mm, with the possibility of extending the width up to 6 mm. The RUBI grout scraper is very practical for repair work where only a few ceramic tiles need to be replaced.
By removing the grout before replacing the broken ceramic tiles, we reduce the risk of damaging the surrounding tiles in good condition. Likewise, we'll save space for installing new parts, which may have slight dimensional differences if they come from different production batches or manufacturers.
The second is the RUBISCRAPER-250 electric scraper and its modern blade (registered design). The RUBISCRAPER-250 is the safest option for removing cement-based grout because, unlike other models, its tungsten carbide blades don't work by friction; instead, they dig in and tear out the grouting material. Thanks to its ergonomic design and three working speeds, the RUBISCRAPER-250 can handle small repairs and replacements of a few parts or renovations of all the joints in a tiled surface. The RUBISCRAPER-250's replaceable blades can be sharpened and are available in several sizes to accommodate the various widths of existing joints.
