Product Information

SikaBond®-T35 is a one-component, moisture-cure polyurethane adhesive with low VOC content and low odour, designed for full-surface bonding of wood floor coverings. It bonds tenaciously to concrete, plywood and properly prepared levelling and patching underlayments.

It is the value option in the SikaBond range: the same polyurethane chemistry and the same easy trowel application as the SikaBond®-T21, with 170 % elongation instead of 270 %. Unlike the T21, it does not act as a vapour-retarding membrane or a sound reduction layer — it is an adhesive, not an all-in-one system.

This adhesive does not prevent moisture-related damage. Do not use in areas subject to hydrostatic head or a secondary moisture source. Below grade, it is generally not recommended without specific precautions.

Do not use on wet, contaminated or friable substrates, over concrete treated with curing compounds or sealers, or on PE, PP, Teflon and certain plasticised synthetics. Do not apply in the presence of uncured silicone, alcohol or solvent cleaners. Bituminous adhesive residues must be removed.

Freeze-sensitive. Store between 10 °C and 25 °C, away from direct sunlight.

SUBSTRATE MOISTURE

As an adhesive only, the product is unaffected by moisture or vapour transmission — but the flooring manufacturer's subfloor moisture requirements still apply. As an adhesive and membrane, concrete moisture vapour emission must not exceed 5.44 kg per 92.9 m² over 24 h (ASTM F1869), and slab relative humidity must not exceed 90 % (ASTM F2170).

Set the flooring within 20 to 25 minutes of spreading, before a skin forms. Clean tools immediately with Sika® Urethane Cleaner and Thinner; cured adhesive can only be removed mechanically.
