Acoustic Membranes

An acoustic membrane reduces impact noise, such as footsteps and chairs, travelling from one floor to the next. It's often required in condominiums, and it's a real comfort upgrade in a house. You'll find membranes for tile, vinyl, engineered wood and floating floors from AcoustiTECH, Dura, Pliteq and Soprema, as well as cork underlayments.

Choose first by the floor covering going on top, then by the building's acoustic requirement. For a condo, check the rating required by the board or the specifications before you buy. See also all membranes and underlays and the AcoustiTECH range.
