Product Information

The Sigma Series 4 Up 103 cm is a manual pull tile cutter: you draw the handle toward you for quick scoring, with an excellent view of the scoring wheel. Its 100 mm breaking foot gives a clean, controlled snap with up to 1,050 kg of force, and its patented automatic wear-compensation system keeps it as precise as on day one, with no adjustment.

With 103 cm (40.5 in.) of straight cut and 72.8 cm (28.6 in.) on the diagonal, it is the longest model in the Up range: it cuts elongated tile up to 90 cm (36 in.) on a straight cut, and 50 cm (20 in.) tile on the diagonal.

Why choose the Series 4 Up

  • Pull scoring, quick and simple: the ergonomic UP handle is designed specifically for pull scoring, with a firm, secure grip.
  • Up to 1,050 kg of breaking force: the 100 mm breaking foot spreads the pressure for a clean snap.
  • Ø 12 mm scoring wheel, always visible on the operator side: its CNC-machined holder and anti-friction metal shell eliminate friction and lateral wear. Also available with a titanium (TiN) coating.
  • Maintenance-free sliding: the carriage runs on 3 double-row ball bearings (patented system), fitted to the oval guide of the rail, for lasting precision.
  • Automatic wear compensation: an exclusive, patented system removes mechanical play over time; an automatic steel compensator sets the carriage preload on the rail.
  • Handle locks in the raised position: it holds at mid-height to clear the work area, so you can place or reposition the tile quickly.
  • Diagonal with no calculation: the swivel measuring bar has a patented double scale that gives the 45° cut measurement directly, and a button locks it on the main angles.
  • Spare wheel close at hand: a compartment built into the frame protects it from knocks and job-site dust.
  • No-mark protection: the breaking foot carries an interchangeable no-mark plastic cover that prevents scratches and metal marks on delicate surfaces and light-coloured tile.

Choosing the right length

The three Series 4 Up models share the same handle, the same scoring wheel and the same cutting thickness (0 to 17 mm). Only the length changes:

  • 70 cm: 49.5 cm diagonal, 10.1 kg
  • 84 cm: 59.4 cm diagonal, 12.2 kg
  • 103 cm (this model): 72.8 cm diagonal, 14.5 kg

Cutting thick or textured tile? The push-action Series 4 Nex cuts up to 19 mm with a double-suspension Ø 16 mm scoring wheel: the Series 4 Nex 95 cm offers a similar length, and the 125 cm cuts 120 cm (48 in.) tile.

Which Series 4 Up length should I choose?

All three models share the same UP handle, the same Ø 12 mm scoring wheel and the same cutting thickness (0 to 17 mm). Only the length changes: 70 cm (27.5 in., 49.5 cm diagonal), 84 cm (33 in., 59.4 cm) and 103 cm (40.5 in., 72.8 cm). Choose a cutting length longer than the longest side of the tile you install. Which model for 24 × 48 in. (60 × 120 cm) tile?

No Series 4 Up model: the longest, the 103 cm, cuts 103 cm straight. For this format, move to the Series 4 Nex 125 cm or 155 cm. To cut it diagonally, you need the Kera-Cut Ext. Our Sigma tile cutter buying guide shows the right model for each format.

What tile thickness can it cut?

From 0 to 17 mm (11/16 in.) across the whole Series 4 Up range. For thicker tile, up to 19 mm, choose the push-action Series 4 Nex, for example the 95 cm.

What is the difference between the Series 4 Nex (push) and the Series 4 Up (pull)?

The Nex is pushed: scoring is easy and deep with minimum effort, which suits rough, thick and large-format tile. It has a Ø 16 mm scoring wheel with double suspension, a 120 mm breaking foot and cuts up to 19 mm. The Series 4 Up is pulled: scoring is quick and simple, with a Ø 12 mm wheel, a 100 mm foot and cuts up to 17 mm. Both share the carriage on 3 ball bearings and the automatic compensator. How do I measure a diagonal cut?

The Series 4 swivel measuring bar has a patented double scale: the first gives the straight-cut measurement, the second gives the 45° diagonal directly, with no calculation. A button locks the bar on the main angles to switch quickly from a straight to a diagonal cut. An optional 50 cm extension fits on either side of the bar.

Is the measuring bar marked in inches?

Sigma describes it as a metric bar, marked in centimetres. The 2026-27 catalogue does not list an inch version.

Can it cut mosaic?

Yes, with the 337 × 486 mm non-slip magnetic mat, compatible with every Series 4 model. It is sold separately.

Can it cut LVT or SPC vinyl tile?

Not with the Series 4 Up: Sigma's LVT / SPC cutting kit fits only Series 4 tile cutters with the NEX handle, such as the Series 4 Nex 95 cm. Mounted on a Nex, it scores vinyl tile up to 6 mm thick.

Can I add a scoring-line laser?

Yes. The green laser kit lights up the scoring line for perfect visibility on the tile. It fits the whole Series 4, installs in 5 minutes and runs on 2 AA batteries, not included.

Which replacement scoring wheel should I use?

The complete Ø 12 mm scoring wheel made for the UP handle. It comes in a standard version or with a titanium (TiN) coating for longer life. Our guide to Sigma scoring wheels and spare parts explains when to change it.

Can I replace the handle, the support arms or the no-mark protection?

Yes. Sigma sells the complete UP handle, the left and right supports, the foot's no-mark protection, the carriage bearings and the adhesive measuring tape separately. Is there a carrying case?

Yes, for the 103 cm: the 43D2 padded rolling case, which also fits the Series 4 Nex 95 cm. Sigma offers no case for the 70 and 84 cm.

What is the warranty?

By registering your tile cutter with Sigma, you extend the legal warranty up to a maximum of 5 years. Instructions are in the box.
