Product Information

The Sigma Series 4 Nex 62 cm is a manual push tile cutter built for thick porcelain, textured tile and large formats. Its NEX handle delivers up to 1,200 kg of breaking force while reducing the effort required, and its patented automatic wear-compensation system keeps it as precise as on day one, with no adjustment.

With 62 cm (24.4 in.) of straight cut and 43.8 cm (17.2 in.) on the diagonal, it is the most compact size of the range: it cuts 24 in. (61 cm) tile lengthwise and is easy to carry, which makes it a good choice for renovation and smaller areas.

Why choose the Series 4 Nex

  • Push scoring, easy and deep: the ergonomic NEX handle is designed specifically for push scoring, with minimum effort.
  • Up to 1,200 kg of breaking force: the lever geometry multiplies the force, and the extra-wide 120 mm breaking foot spreads the pressure for a clean snap.
  • Cushioned scoring: the double suspension of the scoring head follows the surface of textured and uneven tile at constant pressure, and limits the vibration reaching your hand.

  • Maintenance-free sliding: the carriage runs on 3 double-row ball bearings (patented system) for lasting precision.
  • Automatic wear compensation: an exclusive, patented system removes mechanical play over time; an automatic steel compensator sets the carriage preload on the rail.
  • Instant diagonal: the swivelling measuring bar has a patented double scale; the first reads the straight cut, the second gives the 45° diagonal with no calculation.
  • Spare scoring wheel always at hand: a compartment built into the frame protects it from impacts and jobsite dust.
  • Handle locks in the raised position: it holds at mid-height to clear the work area, so you can place or reposition the tile quickly.
  • +6 cm of cutting length by turning the handle.
  • Protected base: the front rubber pad absorbs the impact during scoring, and the foot's no-mark protection is interchangeable.

The whole Series 4 Nex range shares the same handle, the same scoring wheel and the same cutting thickness (0 to 19 mm). Only the length changes:

Frequently asked questions

Which Series 4 Nex length should I choose?

All five models share the same NEX handle, the same Ø 16 mm scoring wheel and the same cutting thickness (0 to 19 mm). Only the length changes: 62 cm (24.4 in., 43.8 cm diagonal), 76 cm (29.9 in., 53.7 cm), 95 cm (37.4 in., 67.2 cm), 125 cm (49.2 in., 88.4 cm) and 155 cm (61 in., 109.6 cm). Choose a cutting length longer than the longest side of the tile you install. Turning the handle adds 6 cm of cutting length. Which model for 24 × 48 in. (60 × 120 cm) tile?

The 125 cm, which cuts 125 cm straight. The 155 cm leaves more margin. To cut this format diagonally, move up to the Kera-Cut Ext. Our Sigma tile cutter buying guide shows the right model for each format.

What tile thickness can it cut?

From 0 to 19 mm (3/4 in.) across the whole Series 4 Nex range. Some 20 mm tiles can only be cut if their hardness allows it: Sigma recommends making test cuts before buying the tile cutter.

What is the difference between the Series 4 Nex (push) and the Series 4 Up (pull)?

The Nex is pushed: scoring is easy and deep with minimum effort, which suits rough, thick and large-format tile. It has a Ø 16 mm scoring wheel with double suspension, a 120 mm breaking foot and cuts up to 19 mm. The Series 4 Up is pulled: scoring is quick and simple, with a Ø 12 mm wheel, a 100 mm foot and cuts up to 17 mm. Both share the carriage on 3 ball bearings and the automatic compensator. How do I measure a diagonal cut?

The Series 4 swivel measuring bar has a patented double scale: the first gives the straight-cut measurement, the second gives the 45° diagonal directly, with no calculation. A button locks the bar on the main angles to switch quickly from a straight to a diagonal cut. An optional 50 cm extension fits on either side of the bar.

Is the measuring bar marked in inches?

Sigma describes it as a metric bar, marked in centimetres. The 2026-27 catalogue does not list an inch version.

Can it cut mosaic?

Yes, with the 337 × 486 mm non-slip magnetic mat, compatible with every Series 4 model. It is sold separately.

Can it cut LVT or SPC vinyl tile?

Yes, with the LVT / SPC cutting kit, mounted on a Series 4 tile cutter with NEX handle. Its special wheel scores vinyl tile up to 6 mm deep; you then snap the tile by hand. The kit includes the non-slip magnetic mat that holds the tile in place. It fits Nex versions only.

Can I add a scoring-line laser?

Yes. The green laser kit lights up the scoring line for perfect visibility on the tile. It fits the whole Series 4, installs in 5 minutes and runs on 2 AA batteries, not included.

Which replacement scoring wheel should I use?

The complete Ø 16 mm scoring wheel made for the NEX handle. It comes in a standard version or with a titanium (TiN) coating for longer life. Our guide to Sigma scoring wheels and spare parts explains when to change it.

Can I replace the handle, the support arms or the no-mark protection?

Yes. Sigma sells the complete NEX handle, the left and right supports, the foot's no-mark protection, the carriage bearings and the adhesive measuring tape separately. Is there a carrying case?

Yes, for two lengths: the 43D2 padded rolling case for the 95 cm (also fits the Series 4 Up 103 cm), and the 43E2 case for the 125 cm. Sigma offers no case for the 62, 76 and 155 cm.

What is the warranty?

By registering your tile cutter with Sigma, you extend the legal warranty up to a maximum of 5 years. Instructions are in the box.
